#1: Seton Hill Alum and Mentor Nalo Hopkinson was interviewed by Nick Liptak in The Book Bench section of The New Yorker online. She discusses her books and her fabric designs.

She is also the Guest of Honor for the 31st Annual International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts, which will take place March 17-21, 2010, at the Orlando Airport Marriott, Orlando, Florida.

#2: Seton Hill Humanities Chair and Mentor Michael A. Arnzen and Alum Michael Mehalek became members of Pennwriters.

#3: An article about Seton Hill Mentor Anne Harris's alter-ego Jessica Freely is up at The Advocate.

#4: New York Times Bestselling Author and Seton Hill Mentor Tobias S. Buckell is the Guest of Honor at Context in Columbus, OH, this year: August 27 - 29, 2010.

I haven't done one of these in a while because I've been busy on a novel (of course), but here are a few updates I've recently heard about:

#1: The Other in the Mirror, a collection of writings by Phillip Jose Farmer and edited by Christopher Paul Carey, is now available for pre-order.

#2: Mary SanGiovanni was interviewed at Famous Monsters of Filmland about her latest novel Found You.

#3: Kaye Dacus' Stand-In Groom received a four star review in Romantic Times BOOKreviews. This was her thesis novel for the WPF program.

#4: Renae Johnson has a new trailer for her upcoming release Blessed Be.

#5: The first two chapters of Anne Harris' second novel Accidental Creatures is up at Book View Cafe.

#6: HALO: The Cole Protocol by Tobias S. Buckell hit the New York Times Bestseller list.

#1: The anthology He Is Legend: An Anthology Celebrating Richard Matheson from Gauntlet Press features three stories from Seton Hill Writers: Michael A. Arnzen's "She Screech Like Me", Gary A. Braunbeck's "Everything of Beauty Taken from You in This Life Remains Forever", and Thomas F. Monteleone's "The Diary of Louise Carey".

#2: "Heavenly Bodies", a short story by Renae Johnson is part of the Going Up, Going Down anthology from Loose Id.

#3: Tobias Buckell co-authored the story "Mitigation" with Karl Schroeder: It will appear in the Fast Forward 2 anthology by Lou Anders.

#2: James Morrow's latest novel is out. He is currently touring with The Philosopher's Apprentice.

#3: Toby Buckell's second novel Ragamuffin is in the Fantasybookspot March Madness Tournament. Voting ends March 15 for Round 2.
